As for getting a manga I already bought and forgot I had it, well that’s happened to me a few times too. Usually I find out when I get home and I can return it, but once I was looking at some manga on my shelf and realized I had two of one volume and hadn’t even noticed for, like, months. Huge backlogs can seem troublesome when things like that happen, but I have to express some gratitude to “Ask John” for a great defense he wrote a while back for having a big manga collection that won’t get read right away. I particularly loved this line, that if you enjoy just having it, “There’s nothing wrong with keeping manga as mere decorations instead of keeping them as reading material.” Um, I don’t know if I want to go that far; I mean, I do hold out hope I’ll read most of it someday…
As for the rest of the ep, wasn’t the bit with Tsukasa and her recorder one of the most super-cute-moe scenes of all time? And wasn’t that the best-funniest-lol Lucky Channel segment yet? Now to get that issue of Newtype…

Owning two of the same manga isn’t really a bad thing at all if you think about it… at least when you have to sell it and you don’t want to let it go, you can sell it anyway because you’ll still have it. lol
I feel Konata’s pain. The same thing happens to me way too often, mostly when I forget about preorders. Another awesome ep. of Lucky Star, in any case. Tsukasa attempting “Joy to the World” (another reference I’m missing??) was cute… Konata’s creepy father for the win!
Knowing Konata, if she adheres to her “buy one to keep, another to read, and a last one as a backup” idology, you can imagine the pain times 3…
@ xXMikotoNakadaiXx: Good point. I guess there’s always Ebay. Either that, or its a bought-way-in-advance birthday or Xmas present for someone. lol
@ Matt: It was the best ep. yet! And Matt, do you have a birthday coming up and have you, perhaps, happened to have read the Kare Kano manga up through vol 16, but not got to vol. 17 yet? Just wondering….
@ bakavic: If she hadn’t bought her backup yet, then she’d be alright; otherwise I wonder if an obsessive collector like her would have to go and buy the rest of the volumes again so she could have another full backup set… Wait, I’m thinking about this too much lol. I wonder if Japanese return policies are as generous as American ones.
