I’m not sure why everyone has such faith that bureaucracy will start to move if you bring more people along. In that sense their actions this ep are a waste. But as good citizens, who are trying to kick their murdering and torturing habits, it is a good sign. We, the viewers, have to see that this is an inspirational world for Rika, who comes to the realization that the Hinamizawa branch of the Japanese Child Welfare department, as well as the police, in c.1983 are no go.

I am certain that there are lolicon otaku among this eager army. I do not entirely trust their motives in volunteering so eagerly to save a loli in distress. That fat NEET guy on the left looks particularly suspicious =_=
So like k1′s determination to change their destiny last week, we now have Rika step up. Let’s see how much progress they make next week! And, by the way, I love the way the animators have been visually pairing Rika and Hanyuu in these recent episodes. It’s really effective in showing how they are so closely linked.
