In anticipation of the final episode of School Days, our Daijoubu investigators have managed to get their hands on a copy of Ito Makoto’s personal “Playa’s Handbook.” This volume contains the lessons Makoto has derived from his personal encounters with various women. His twisted view of things was only possible because of his depravity and the extraordinary “willingness” of most of the women around him. As this book only covers the period through episode 11 of School Days, we are hoping an “appropriate” resolution to this series may yet teach Makoto the folly of his ways. The following 8 Rules, accompanied by our expert commentary, are among the least offensive highlights we could find in this most fascinating, albeit disgusting document. :3
1. Don’t break up with old girlfriends, because you might need them to fall back on. (Comment: Even though Makoto grows bored of Kotonoha and takes up with Sekai, he has an amazing difficulty telling his old girlfriend it’s over. While he claims that he’s concerned about Kotonoha’s feelings, his chronic insensitivity makes this explanation a downright impossibility. Ep. 11 reveals that this rule must have always been in the back of his mind. Kotonoha’s unhealthy obsession with him has allowed Makoto to take advantage of this rule, even after Setsuna’s earlier interference that precipitates a break-up.)
2. Model your activities on other successful players. (Comment: I think that Makoto may have followed the model of another famous womanizer, James Bond. He has certainly taken Bond’s family motto as his own: The World Is Not Enough :3)
3. Practice your moves on your female friends first and you may get twice the fun. (Comment: Enabled by Sekai’s encouragement, Makoto’s application of this sick rule succeeded beyond his wildest imaginings.)
4. Leave your girlfriend busy in the kitchen if you want to take full advantage of the School Festival. (Comment: Makoto must have realized that School Festivals are great opportunities to “catch up” with old childhood friends.)
5. Beware of hidden Video Cameras. (Comment: Makoto’s overwhelming willingness to do it anywhere, anytime, with anyone must have caused him to forget this rule. Either that, or he realizes that the women he’s after won’t be put off by mere smutty videos, no matter how compromising.)
6. If you think a potential partner may like you, then pretend to fall asleep when you are alone with her to find out what she might be willing to do. (Comment: Oh Setsuna! I thought you were the coolest character, but then you fell for Makoto’s player trick.)
7. If (A) a girl has shown an interest in you, and (B) she is about to go away forever, then you should visit her place before she leaves to increase your potential of “scoring” with her. (Comment: Oh Setsuna! You may have broken my heart!)
8. Start working on the lolis early to ensure a steady supply of future conquests. (Comment: Makoto does not appear interested in lolicon, but he is perhaps unconsciously applying this rule with his visits to Kotonoha’s house when Kokoro is there. He cannot fail to have noticed the girl’s interest in him, and we can only hope that his depravity will not be given the chance to go in this particular direction, particularly after the older women have rejected him.)
I must emphasize that these rules (except maybe #5) should not be followed, or else you may deserve a bad ending! Let us hope Makoto discovers this.

I just love using this image! :3

“The World is Not Enough.” Brilliant. I love puns!
lol…not bad with the “sekai” pun.
>> The World Is Not Enough
Oh God I lol’d hard.
The lyrics of the film’s song by the group Garbage seem to fit School Days too:
“The world is not enough/ But it is such a perfect place to start, my love”
Also:
“We know when to kiss
And we know when to kill
If we cant have it all
Then nobody will”
Potential AMV here! :3
I think Makoto mollested Kokoro in Summer Days lol
This post is totally the sort of thing that could earn you a place on Kotonoha’s “to stab” list, DS :3
