For all you know, it could be a line leading to the bathroom .. or better yet, a circle. What if you could trick a line of about 200 people into filing behind itself? It's the sheep effect of humans, I guess. Because what's registration anyway? Finding your name on a sticker or badge and then handing you a bag of swag? It can't possibly take that long unless people were cutting in line far in front of you, and nobody in the back ever notices. I've watched videos of the lines at Anime Expo. Insane!
