OK, now I’ll continue going through my blogroll alphabetically for bit…..
http://animedesho.animeblogger.net/ no longer seems to load, so I guess this blog is out of existence now? Once I’ve finished my blogroll tour, I’ll have to replace it with something else. Maybe that Yoroshiku! that someone suggested (although that my waifu post is a bit disturbing…) =P
Oh yay! I see that Anime Diet is still going strong and series are being blogged! There’s also a call for new writers, so its another blog that’s expanding! This blog has a nice mix of anime episode blogging and weird Japan news…. Sooooo, These are the shows I haven’t been watching: Kanamemo, Umi Monogatari, Bakemonogatari, Princess Lover, Canaan… so were any of these worth watching? I won’t bother reading these posts about final eps and such, but someone please tell me if I should watch any of these or just wait and hope for the best in October…. Oh, there a book review of that Otaku book… I’ll have to put it in my list of posts to read later when I have time (uh oh…). I met Mike once too, I hope I can meet him again sometime and discuss theology or something! I listened to the first 15 minutes of the podcast too. I didn’t know about ADV becoming defunct… Actually, it survived longer than expected….
Looks like BasuGasuBakuhatsu has not been updated in a while. I guess this may be another defunct blog? I remember that there were a lot of reviews of US releases here that Hung got as samples. Well, as long as Anime Nano continues….
And Beta-Waffle is still going strong, that’s GREAT. Unfunny Internet Meme Dangos– I mean Comics. Oh, I remember the days of our glorious collaboration. The world of internet badly-drawn anime comics has never been the same since. I seem to have many unfunny meme comics to catch up on…. but DiGiKerot seems a little Saki obsessed…. maybe I should watch Saki or I won’t understand him anymore?
OK, I remember CJ and Crisu from a while back. Next I’ll look at Borderline Hikkikomori… Well, I see CJ and some other ppl, but no Crisu… I wonder how he’s been doing? Anyway, there are more shows I haven’t been watching here: Aoi no Hana and Tokyo Magnitude…. I wonder if they are worth it?? Anyway, its an active blog so I can kkeep it on the blogroll. Only Anime Desho Desho and Basgahtsubas (sp) are potential drops right now of what I’ve covered in this post. Let’s see if I have any energy left to check out one more for tonight….
OH No…. It’s that one… Please help me…. ^^;
Oh yeah, Owen’s not blogging anymore it seems. He’s still on twitter though…. and google reader…. I wonder why he stopped blogging (yes, i know school and all, but still…). This blog stays in the blogroll, just because of Owen’s legendary status though (which nearly equals my own hehehehehe) :)

Thanks for the shoutout, DS! Yes, we’re still going as strong as ever, and we are indeed looking for new writers–so send two sample articles to writers@animediet.net if any of you readers out there are interested. :)
Canaan is definitely worth watching. I haven’t seen enough of Bakemonogatari to make a judgment, though many, many people love it. Ray covers the other shows so he’d be the best person to ask.
Are you going to NYAF? I probably won’t be there, alas, but someone else from Anime Diet will–moritheil, the newest staff member who lives here on the East Coast. I’ll have him say hi to you if he gets the chance to meet you. I’d love to talk theology with you one of these days too!
Something’s missing in your list – I just can’t locate what it is… :P
Anyway, Tokyo Magnitude is definitely worth a watch if you like tearjerkers after an unprecedented earthquake. At least it passes as a relatively light watch, until the end…
ADV’s out of business? Good thing I didn’t get that ten-dollar-an-episode job with them. ;-) Which reminds me of a question: has any fansub group ever gone on to be a major player in the anime sellers’ community? Some of their translations are more accurate in their complexity than the simplified translations provided by major companies. Of course, the whole idea of fansubbing is not one of profit, but of love, but we could use more of that love on the profit-making end, don’t you think?
Haha, the guy that suggested Yoroshiku is the guy that recommended it :P
