ADV's out of business? Good thing I didn't get that ten-dollar-an-episode job with them. ;-) Which reminds me of a question: has any fansub group ever gone on to be a major player in the anime sellers' community? Some of their translations are more accurate in their complexity than the simplified translations provided by major companies. Of course, the whole idea of fansubbing is not one of profit, but of love, but we could use more of that love on the profit-making end, don't you think?

Something's missing in your list - I just can't locate what it is... :P

Anyway, Tokyo Magnitude is definitely worth a watch if you like tearjerkers after an unprecedented earthquake. At least it passes as a relatively light watch, until the end...

Thanks for the shoutout, DS! Yes, we're still going as strong as ever, and we are indeed looking for new writers--so send two sample articles to writers@animediet.net if any of you readers out there are interested. :)

Canaan is definitely worth watching. I haven't seen enough of Bakemonogatari to make a judgment, though many, many people love it. Ray covers the other shows so he'd be the best person to ask.

Are you going to NYAF? I probably won't be there, alas, but someone else from Anime Diet will--moritheil, the newest staff member who lives here on the East Coast. I'll have him say hi to you if he gets the chance to meet you. I'd love to talk theology with you one of these days too!
